Solar Market Outlook in Turkey

The outlook is good for Turkey’s overall renewable energy industry, with the exception of hydropower. In 2020, the country’s renewable energy production reached 19.07 GW. The country is projecting a total energy production from solar energy and other renewable sources to 49.31% by 2030. This results in a compound annual growth rate of 10%, which is very promising for the country’s solar energy efforts. 

The solar energy sector is one of the best performing among its renewable energy market. In 2018, it has already achieved its 2023 target of 5 GW solar PV capacity. They are hoping to increase that to 15 GW by 2027. Given the annual growth rate of the solar energy sector, they can easily meet that target, as long as they can sustain growth.

The Renewable Energy Law in Turkey has been an effective tool to facilitate the government’s efforts to achieve its solar energy target. The government also believes that the privatization of the power distribution in the country has contributed to boosting the level of competition and subsequently growing the solar capacity in the country.

What is a Mobile Inverter?

Mobile inverters are like regular inverters. They convert direct current into AC for domestic use. All the household appliances work on AC but the power generated from the Solar Panels is DC. To convert this power to AC Solar inverters or Mobile inverters are used.

The primary application is to convert current but Mobile Inverters have a secondary application. This is the mobility of the inverters to work in remote locations. One inverter can be used with different types of batteries. Inverter can be removed from the battery and installed into different circuits.

Where are Mobile Inverters used?

Mobile Inverters are used in Solar Power production. Installed with the Panels to convert the DC stored power into AC. These inverters can be used for high and low voltages. With Solar Panels installation is done with each panel individually.

Types of Mobile Inverters

Mobile inverters come in two configurations. High frequency Solar inverters and Low frequency Solar Inverters.

  • High Frequency Inverters: These inverters are commonly used in the household for low power application. 
  • Low Frequency Inverters: LF mobile inverters are big in size to accommodate large transformers inside them. These inverters are used with the motors for high surge. Low frequency inverters can be used with high wattage rating appliances like ACs, refrigerators, and power tools.
