The Heritage The story begins in 1995 along the streets of historic city of Anand in Gujarat. It is the same place where the white revolution of India happened and AMUL was born. It is here the company SUN ENERGY SYSTEMS was incepted and sold the first solar water heater. The name was borrowed directly from the core of infinite energy in the solar system – SUN. Along the journey Solex undertook businesses which are directly or indirectly connected with the SUN. Be it – Solar water heaters, solar lanterns, solar water pumps, solar street & home lighting systems – the SUN was the center of Solex’s thought process. This expertise developed over the period of 25 years and turned the company into a professional EPC organisation. The Ride & Trek It was the year 2007 when Solex decided to backwardly integrate into Solar PV Panels and put up a 50MW module manufacturing plant in Anand. There was no looking back after that. While riding & trekking, the company kept on crossing many milestones & landmarks. The highpoints are bagging 1.28 Cr order from GEDA, 3 Cr order of solar lights from Beltron, Bihar and many more. The new entity was named to cater to wider audience as Solex Energy Pvt Ltd. This entity was ultimately destined to be a Public Limited company - SOLEX ENERGY LIMITED in 2018. The Ride defined the future and Trek lead to dawn of a new era. The Existing & Upcoming The announcement in late 2020 for putting up a 1.2 GW Solar PV Panel Manufacturing unit in Surat despite the global hiccups breathed a new life. The company is on the way to break all the traditional norms and achieve greater delight by adopting Industry 4.0 and Big Data. Manufacturers in today’s marketplace seek to achieve business intelligence through the compilation, analysis and sharing of data across all key functional domains in order to achieve production excellence. Solex is all geared to take the path uncharted by other manufacturers as the new management in highly exposed towards IT and manufacturing. The combination is lethal and is already en-route for a technology spree. Solex is going to harness on Sun as well as Tech. It will be making the Factory 4.0.
