TSMC To Begin Constructing Solar Cell Factory This Year

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) will break ground on its first solar cell manufacturing plant by the end of this year, BusinessWeek reports.
TMSC’s board of directors has approved a $218 million investment for thefactory. The company has not provided further details about the newfactory.
