SonUmbra Solar Powered Tree
Greenlaunches
Saving electricity and opting to use solar power for lightning duringnightfall is a trend that many are following. This is the SonUmbrasolar-powered tree. It looks a lot like a tree with its branches andleaves and is composed of strands of light-emitting fabric woven into alucent web of branches. The tree, designed by Loop.pH has a canopy withphotovoltaic panels that captures light during the day. During night itshines brilliantly like a lit tree. This was showcased at this year’sLondon Design Festival. It is constructed from a light emitting fabricthat is crafted into a lattice of electroluminescent fibers. It is avery interesting design.
