Solarfun (SOLF) Gets 100MW Jiayuguan Solar Deal

SolarfunPower (SOLF) has announced its subsidiary Jiangsu Linyang Solarfun hassigned an agreement with the government of Jiayuguan City under whichSolarfun agreed to build a 100MW solar power plant. To support thisproject, Solarfun agreed to construct a module production facility inJiayuguan City.

Jingchang Zhang, Vice Mayor of Jiayuguan City, commented, “Jiayuguanis a famous tourist attraction in western China. Its abundant sunshinemakes it an attractive location for solar projects. We have interviewedmany solar module suppliers in China and are confident that Solarfunwill be a good partner for our development.”

Shares of SOLF are up about 4% in premarket trading.
