Hoku Scientific Renames Itself Hoku Corp. $HOKU

Hoku Scientific, a materials science company focusedon clean energy technologies, says it has officially changed its name to Hoku Corp.
"When we founded the company, the name HokuScientific reflected our core research-driven business developinginnovative fuel-cell technology," explains Dustin Shindo, chairman andCEO. "However, as our business has continued to evolve, we felt the name Hoku Corp. better reflected our strategic direction as a diversified,global clean energy company."
The company plans to generally dobusiness under the name Hoku, and as Hoku Solar and Hoku Materials forits photovoltaic systems installation and polysilicon businesses,respectively.
