First Solar (FSLR) To Supply PV Modules For Australia’s Largest Installation

First Solar, Inc just announced that it has been selected to supplyPV modules for Australia’s largest PV installation. The installation,which will be performed by Solar Shop Australia, will consist of a 1 MWDC rooftop solar project. The project will be installed on top of 6buildings and will supply power for the Adelaide Showground in SouthAustralia.
In a company press release, First Solar executive vice president of marketing and business development, John Carrington, commented on the agreement:
"First Solar is proud to be supplying modules for the country’slargest PV system. This project will take one of Australia’s mostabundant resources, sunlight, and convert it into clean, affordableelectricity.”
